Family Resources for Education and Empowerment inc.

Funds will be used to continue the School of Greatness mentorship program along with community revitalization by providing first time homeownership with a family within the program allowing them to purchase the refurbished home. The School of Greatness awakens identity and purpose to allow young people to reach their full potential. We use innovative strategies such as advocacy, workshops, role-playing and mentorship through the educational pipelines. We teach students how to become "student leaders" that are motivated and inspired to obtain their future goals and make lifelong contributions to the world. We currently offer  mentoring sessions with our partnership with OJJ The Office of Juvenile Justice to stop the school to prison pipeline. The overarching goal is to educate and improve opportunities for youth in Caddo Parish, to fully develop academic, career, and social factors necessary for living productive lives.
