The Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling is a non-profit organization providing treatment services for people with gambling problems and Helpline Call Centers for problem gambling, substance abuse, suicide prevention All of our treatment and helpline services are free to residents of Louisiana and are available 24/7. We are the state affiliate to the National Council on Problem Gambling.

On July 16, 2022, the U.S. transitioned to using the 988-dialing code, and it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to strengthen and expand the existing Lifeline.

Louisiana has two certified Lifeline centers, the Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling (LACG) and ViaLink who are ready to respond to 988 calls.  Both centers provide backup to each other to help ensure calls, chats, and texts are answered by an in-state Lifeline center with access to local resources.
