Forensic Nurse Examiners of Louisiana (FNE) is a non-profit organization providing forensic examinations and evidence collection to victims of sexual and domestic violence since 2005. FNE works closely with other members of the sexual assault response team (SART).
FNE has trained over 100 nurses in the last 12 months in forensic evidence collection so the patients of sexual assault may have evidence collected by a forensically trained nurse within their own region or home parish.
A mother of a pediatric patient told one of our SANEs, " you have made the biggest difference in our daughter's night. We didn't know what to expect, but you were great."
Forensic Nurse Examiners of Louisiana (FNE) exists to provide compassionate and competent forensic nursing care to all victims of sexual assault in our communities.
