When a Child Enters a Crisis Situation, Every Second Counts.
Geaux 4 Kids is a Louisiana-based nonprofit dedicated to bringing comfort, compassion, and care to children who are victims of crime or experiencing crisis situations. When a child is rescued or removed from a traumatic environment, they often leave with nothing more than the clothes on their back. Geaux 4 Kids steps in to ease that transition by providing essential items, comfort, and dignity during the first 24 hours after rescue.
Through its flagship initiative, Project Geaux Bags, the organization equips law enforcement officers and child protection teams with ready-to-Geaux Bags filled with age-appropriate necessities — including toiletries, pajamas, a blanket and pillow, snacks, and a comforting note from another child. These bags help calm the fear and uncertainty a child feels in those critical first moments of safety.
Geaux 4 Kids proudly partners with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), the Louisiana State Police, and Parish and City Law Enforcement Agencies across Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. Together, they ensure that every responding officer and child protection worker has the tools to bring both comfort and care to children during times of crisis.
From emergency rescue to recovery, Geaux 4 Kids provides tangible hope — one Geaux Bag at a time — reminding every child that they matter, they are seen, and they are not alone.
