Holley's Hopping Habitat

A nonprofit organization

Our organization started in 2010 when a 6-year old girl saw a need to help domestic rabbits in our community. This little girl formed Holley's Hopping Habitat. We quickly realized that in order for others to learn more about being a responsible pet owner, we needed to start sharing what knowledge we could with the public.

The mission of Holley's Hopping Habitat is to provide shelter and care for domestic rabbits, and to provide education to the public about being a responsible pet owner. We take in unwanted rabbits from owners, provide a safe haven for rabbits that have been removed from neglectful situations by law enforcement, have rabbits spayed and neutered with guidance from a licensed veterinarian, and find quality and loving homes for these amazing animals. We strive to educate the public about the various necessities of pet rabbit ownership, teaching proper care and handling, and to provide information on what to do when considering adding a pet to the home before making the commitment.

Our organization consists of volunteers, and is operated on donations. Without volunteers and donors to help fulfill work at the shelter, we would not be able to do all that we are able to do.

We are very proud to be the only non-profit, 501(c)(3) rabbit-only rescue in the North Louisiana area. Our shelter is committed to all things rabbit!
