Northwest Louisiana Walk of Stars

Created in 1997 as a committee of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, the Northwest Louisiana Walk of Stars is now completely independent. It's incorporated in the State of Louisiana as a non-profit corporation and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 organization.

Since its inception, the Northwest Louisiana Walk of Stars has inducted 28 individuals and one group. The most recent inductee was country music star Trace Adkins on October 20, 2017. Each inductee is honored with a large marble star award and a concrete block in the Red River Entertainment District under the Texas Street Bridge in downtown Shreveport. A large kiosk on the Commerce St. side of the District explains more about the Walk of Stars and all of its inductees.

Each time we induct someone, it costs us almost $1000. Because we have no independent source of funding we rely solely on generous contributions from businesses and the public. Please help us continue to recognize and honor those who have brought recognition to our area.
