Ways to Get Involved:

Kick off Give for Good with us during Early Giving (April 21 – May 4) at Flying Heart Brewing! When you order boneless wings, $2 from every order goes directly back to the Louisiana Association for the Blind — an easy (and delicious) way to give back.

Then join us on Give for Good Day (May 5)! Our team will be at Flying Heart throughout the day sharing information about our mission, and we’ll be back that evening for Music Bingo at 7 PM. Come out, have fun, and support a great cause all in one place!

Why It Matters:

Your support on Give for Good directly fuels our ability to provide meaningful employment, training, and services for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. From assistive technology and life skills training to job placement and career development, these resources create pathways to independence. Unrestricted funding allows us to meet immediate needs while continuing to grow programs that change lives every day.

Our Impact:

For almost a century, the Louisiana Association for the Blind has been creating opportunities and empowering independence. Through our manufacturing, community services, and workforce programs, we help individuals build confidence, develop skills, and achieve meaningful employment. When you give, you’re not just supporting a program — you’re investing in people, potential, and a stronger, more inclusive community.

Community Services:

Our Community Services division offers a wide range of programs and low vision products for people of all ages who are legally blind or have low vision. This includes our Low Vision Clinic, Sensory Aids Store, and Low Vision Training Center, providing evaluations, assistive technology, and rehabilitation services.

Mission

At L.A.B., our mission is clear: to empower individuals who are visually impaired to lead fulfilling and independent lives. When you give you are investing in a brighter future for those we serve. Your support helps people who are blind or visually impaired access the world around them and become more independent every day.
