Perfect Fit Autism Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Shreveport, Louisiana, founded in 2019 by two mothers raising sons on the autism spectrum. Our mission is simple but powerful: “Connecting is the key… one piece at a time.” We exist to reduce isolation, build social-emotional skills, and promote autism awareness by offering free, inclusive, and culturally responsive social and recreational experiences to children with autism and their families.
We serve over 100 children annually through monthly community-based activities such as bowling, skating, grocery shopping, and baking—each designed to help participants build real-world social skills in safe and supportive environments. Our programming also includes a 3-day Summer Social Skills Camp, seasonal family events (e.g., Christmas Social, Halloween Skate Party, Easter Egg Hunt), and Mom’s Night Out caregiver gatherings.
A unique and growing component of our work is our Peer Buddy Program, which engages autistic adults and teen volunteers as mentors, giving them leadership opportunities while supporting younger participants. Perfect Fit is sustained through grassroots fundraising, an annual Autism Fun Run & 5K, and a dedicated team of volunteers.
