We currently have 7.5 acres in Arcadia, La. that we will begin construction on this fall for our Tiny Home Veteran Village. We will construct small transitional homes and have a central building onsite for cooking, offices, laundry, counseling and meeting room for group counseling.
This is more than just a roof over their heads. We are coming along side of them, and will partner with several other agencies and organizations to help with areas in their life they are struggling with. We will offer them several programs to help them overcome these issues. Our goal is to put and end to Veteran homelessness and suicide! Veterans/Soldiers coming home don't know how to interact with family, co-workers and dealing with normal everyday life. Our board ofdirectors are made up retired Veterans who have struggled with these same issues and can menitor the veterans we house. We will offer job training, financial budgeting, continued education as well as hobbies and recreational time which will be beneficial for healing.
Project 4 Hope will provide supportive services to homeless and at risk veterans. This will include all individuals titled 'Veteran' regardless of gender or special needs. We are a regional program for all of the Delta. Networking resources and services for Veterans.
