Sanctuary Arts School is a public access glass studio and school. We provide free classes for the children at Shriner's Hospital, veterans and active military who have a diagnosis of PTSD and utilize glass blowing as part of their therapy. We bring our arts education programs into the community including schools, affordable housing locations, Providence House, nursing homes and to populations that are underserved. We offer free courses to individuals in wheelchairs since we have a special bench that can be used for people with disabilities. Free studio time is given to MFA and BFA students throughout the Gulf South. We present major glass exhibitions, such as the "Texas Contemporary Glass Exhibition" That took place at Artspace on Texas Street in Shreveport in cooperations with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council. Ongoing classes in glass are offered at discounted rates throughout the year to all residents of Caddo Parish. We have also purchased the B'NAI ZION TEMPLE BUILDING and will be turning it into a community arts center.
