St Vincents Alumnae Association

The St. Vincent's Alumnae Association was established in 1912 to help the alumnae stay connected and to support programs at St. Vincent's Academy.  

Even though our school closed its doors in 1988, the Alumnae Association continues its mission of providing opportunities for alumnae to stay connected, to preserve the history and traditions of St. Vincent's, and to support our legacies at Loyola College Prep.  We welcome as members anyone who attended St. Vincent's, whether in elementary school or high school.

In order to fulfill our mission:

• We publish an annual newsletter which is mailed out to approximately 2000 alumnae from around the country, highlighting the accomplishments of our alumnae and celebrating the history of St. Vincent's Academy and the Daughters of the Cross.  We also keep in touch through Facebook and Constant Contact emails.
• We hold an annual luncheon to bring members of the association together and to raise money for our scholarship program at Loyola College Prep though a silent auction. 
• We maintain a museum at the Catholic Center in Shreveport which preserves the history of St. Vincent's Academy and the Daughters of the Cross through artifacts and printed materials.
