Please consider making a Give for Good donation on May 6, 2025, to support Theatre of the Performing Arts' upcoming 32nd annual Yazzy Summer Morning Mix. The Summer Morning Mix begins June 9 through July 26 and is open to participants ages 7 - 24. For 7 weeks, participants will take arts classes in visual arts, instrumental music, theater, voice, and dance. The program will culminate with a grand finale production on Saturday, July 26, 6:00 pm, at The Riverview Theatre. Theme: Yazzy Jazzy Christmas in July. The mission of the Theatre of the Performing Arts of Shreveport is to foster the culture, arts, and history of African Americans; to offer multi-disciplined arts programs for children, youth, and adults; and to act as a clearinghouse for the arts in Northwest Louisiana. To this end, TPA provides actors, dancers, musicians, directors, and playwrights of every hue with a theatrical venue where their talents can reach fruition.
