Please consider making a Give for Good donation on May 5, 2026, to support Theatre of the Performing Arts' upcoming 33rd annual Yazzy Summer Morning Mix. The Summer Morning Mix begins June 8 through July 25 and is open to participants ages 7 - 24. For 7 weeks, participants will take arts classes in visual arts, instrumental music, theater, voice, and dance. The program will culminate with two grand finale productions on Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, 6:00 pm, at Bossier Parish Community College - Building C. The mission of the Theatre of the Performing Arts of Shreveport is to foster the culture, arts, and history of African Americans; to offer multi-disciplined arts programs for children, youth, and adults; and to act as a clearinghouse for the arts in Northwest Louisiana. To this end, TPA provides actors, dancers, musicians, directors, and playwrights of every hue with a theatrical venue where their talents can reach fruition.
