Founded in 1992, the Caddo Lake Institute is a nonprofit scientific and educational organization dedicated to the protection of one of America’s most significant wetlands—Caddo Lake. Our work focuses on restoring healthy water flows, improving water quality throughout the watershed, controlling invasive species, and conserving lands critical to the lake’s long-term ecological health. We work in close partnership with local communities, scientists, and government agencies to monitor conditions, safeguard natural resources, and ensure that Caddo Lake’s ecological integrity and natural beauty endure for generations.
