Crossroads exists to connect children in foster care to the families, individuals, and opportunities they need to heal and thrive. Since 2013, Crossroads' foster families have loved and cared for over 850 children! While not everyone can foster a child, we believe everyone can support the foster care community. Our amazing community of foster parents and donors help make these connections possible for Louisiana's most vulnerable kids. In Louisiana, there are 4,200 children in foster care, but only 1,900 certified foster families to care for them. Crossroads works to close that gap by recruiting more foster families for Louisiana's most vulnerable children! Crossroads supports parents on their fostering journey using TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention®) trauma-wise training so they are equipped to meet the complex needs of children who have experienced trauma, specifically through abuse, neglect, or early childhood trauma. We work to meaningfully elevate the systems and services caring for children and families. Our vision is a safe, connected family for every child!

On average, 94% of children placed within Crossroads' families experience placement stability compared to only 66% of children statewide who experience placement stability (i.e. not "bouncing from home to home"). When Crossroads equips foster families to navigate the ups and downs of foster care, kids receive the stability they need to heal and thrive!
