At Crossroads, that’s not just something we say, it’s something we see every day.

We exist to connect children in foster care to the families, individuals, and opportunities they need to heal and thrive. Since 2013, Crossroads families have opened their homes and hearts to more than 957 children across Louisiana. 

But here’s the reality we’re facing: Right now, there are over 4,300 children in foster care in Louisiana and only 2100 certified foster families to care for them.

That gap matters. Because behind every number is a child who needs stability…a place to land…a family to belong to.

Not everyone is called to foster. But everyone can be part of what makes fostering possible.

That’s where you come in.

Through Crossroads, we recruit and equip families by walking alongside foster families from the very beginning. Using trauma-wise training through Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI), we help caregivers understand what children from hard places need most: safety, connection, and support. 

And it’s working. 

96% of children placed in Crossroads homes experience stability, compared to 66% statewide. That means fewer moves. Fewer disruptions. More healing.
