The Southern University at Shreveport Foundation (SUSF), hosts various annual events, generating revenue. Three (3) of the most rewarding events are the Annual Gentlemen's Cooking Classic, the Port City Classic Golf Tournament and Sunday Night Bingo. SUSF objective is to support the mission, financial requirements and planned growth of the University. The funds raised provide scholarships and financial aid for students; support our faculty; support for new programs and the enhancement of the existing programs. The SUSF works with the University to garner long term gift/financial support from alumni, friends and corporations to secure philanthropic funding for the Foundation and the University. The Foundation will continue to strive to achieve goals such as:
1.) To provide financial support through fund-raising activities, utilizing alumni, friends, organizations, corporations and other foundations.
2.) To establish financial endowments and major gifts for the purpose of meeting the educational needs of Southern University students.
3.) To acquire and utilize State of the Art Technology Data Software for non-profit fund-raising system.
