Main Street Homer

Main Street Homer is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the mission statement to “Revitalize Homer through economic development, historic and cultural preservation, and advancement of the arts.”

Downtown Homer—the heart of Homer—is beating strong, serving both locals and visitors, with revitalized buildings, vibrant businesses, activated public spaces, and increasing opportunities for housing, entertainment, education, recreation, and employment. Homer is a place where people experience a unique sense of community extending beyond downtown, where you can find family, friendship, faith, and fellowship with nature. Homer is truly welcoming for everyone.

We are excited to share an opportunity for you to be a part of the mission and vision for long term growth in Homer.

You can see results of ten years of involvement in economic development in Homer with new businesses added, the creation of the Alabama Kinnebrew Park, and the completion of eight building renovations, with three additional renovations currently underway.

The Pan American Filling Station Farmers Market is part of the current revitalization efforts, but the project is currently underfunded by $90,000. Your financial support can make a significant impact on this project and the growth and economic development of our community by helping us complete the funding to renovate this historic building.
