Praise Academy at Lakeside

Praise Academy at Lakeside is a Christ-centered, neighborhood elementary school whose doors opened in the fall of 2015. We currently enroll pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. At Praise Academy we foster a child's natural ability to see what is true, beautiful and good in God's creation through a hands-on learning education. All children have the potential to learn, and our curriculum individualizes the learning needs of each child, allowing each child to excel at his or her own pace. Class sizes are small and will remain small. The learning environment is life-giving, a place of active learning and discovery.

At the heart of Praise Academy's purpose is the improvement and long-term success of the Allendale-Lakeside neighborhood. We are an alternative, nontraditional school designed to serve the children and families of Allendale-Lakeside. Praise Academy at Lakeside is nestled amidst homes in the neighborhood. All faculty intentionally live within two blocks of the school. Most of our volunteers and tutors are from the neighborhood as well. The school is deeply rooted in and integrated with the Allendale-Lakeside community.

While we do require tuition, most of our families can only pay a small portion given their financial needs. The remainder of the cost to educate each student is covered by the generosity of our school's donors who are committed to helping make the education provided by Praise Academy at Lakeside available to as many as possible.
