The Ross Lynn Charitable Foundation supports and conducts programs that ex-​​emplify the life of Ross Lynn, who was an expert, international mountain climber, ​​talented artist and compassionate volunteer in service to the underserved.

The Ross Lynn Foundation's mission is to cultivate compassion in individuals, families, and communities through art, outdoor adventure, and healthy living.

The Guiding Principle of the Foundation is to create opportunities where challenge, adventure and exploration foster ones self discovery, participants cultivate and nurture their gifts and sense of purpose, and out of their experience, they are invited and encouraged to offer it to others.

Our work locally has impacted over 4000 lives, provided 28 opportunities for getting outdoors, sponsored 39 youth and leaders for wilderness experiences and challenges, and offered opportunity for 62 artists and artisans to be featured and nurtured.

Our 2017-2018 programs:

Annual Backroads and Bayous 10m and 3m trail run.

2017 Writer's Workshop in Belcher, LA with published author Richard Benson.

First Annual Harvest Dinner in 2017, a fund-raising and culinary event featuring Shreveport Chef and Caterer, Blake Jackson of Drake Catering. Our dinner featured locally sourced foods creating a farm-to-table dining experience.

2018 Developed opportunity and awarded scholarship to send area Chef Tootie Morrison to Morocco to spend 10 days in a rural village immersed in the culture, farming and culinary practices;. Additionally Chef Tootie will spend a day in one of the top Culinary Communities and Schools in Marracash before returning home to present cooking and dining experiences in various settings in the Shreveport Bossier area.

2018 Launched The Exchange, an incubator/resource center for non-profits, special projects, and innovative initiatives supporting those serving the greater good in North Louisiana.

Collaborate with One Great River outdoor adventure programs. We join them in commitment to providing high-quality wilderness experiences for youth and young adults offering transformative challenges. Our first Trek is scheduled for June 2018.
