The Highland Area Partnership is a 501c3 arts and culture nonprofit organization that is dedicated to cultivating and connecting our community through music, food, and the arts. The Highland Area Partnership is the organization that annually executes the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival, a festival that is free to attend for the community and beyond. By providing a free festival centered around the music genres of jazz and blues music, we help people have access to this artform that has deep roots in our Louisiana history, along with artists and hands-on art activities that our community might not typically have access to. Our one day festival features two stages with music from national recognized bands to local favorites, along with student showcasing their talents to the masses. Artists, vendors, and other nonprofits also benefit from the exposure and economic impact that our festival brings to the community.

Over the years, the Highland Jazz and Blues has brought an ever-growing number of people to Columbia Park, located in the heart of Shreveport, Louisiana, to appreciate the talents of local, regional, and national musicians, artists, artisans/crafts persons, and culinary artists. The unique culture of the surrounding Highland neighborhood and the day of festivities itself has made the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival a favorite event of the our community and beyond!

Impact numbers: 6500+ attendees annually, 100+ volunteers, 100% local businesses used for festival production, 75+ musicians, 65+ vendors, 40+ student performers, 2 stages, 13 board members, 1 staff member.

20th Annual Highland Jazz and Blues Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2024!

As we embark on our 20th anniversary year of the festival, we hope to have your support in making this beloved community festival a success in 2024!
