Help Chance Give for Good

Chance is a Shriners Children’s Shreveport patient who receives care for several complex conditions. Before finding Shriners Children’s Shreveport, his family traveled more than four hours for appointments, but now they’re just an hour away from the care he requires. Chance has received leg braces from our Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics Services (POPS) Department, which have given him the mobility and support needed to walk. He has also undergone muscle lengthening treatment on his legs and surgery to repair his cleft lip and palate. His mom, Kelsi, says personal and compassionate care has meant everything to their family. Chance’s joyful personality shines through, especially with music, cruises, and photography. “Thank you, because of you, my child can receive the care he needs.”, said Kelsi.

The first Shriners Hospital in the world, Shriners Children’s Shreveport is dedicated to improving the lives of children from across the region. We help with orthopedic conditions, fractures, and cleft lip and palate regardless of the family’s insurance status or ability to pay.

The Shreveport location serves a six-state area, including Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.
