I got my first Rottweiler in 1996. I had a lot to learn about the breed. The more I learned, the more I fell in love with the loyalty, the love and the silent protective nature they have for their people. 

Fast forward to April 13th, 2023, and having a year in at the DeSoto Parish Animal Shelter, this beautiful, sweet natured, eager to please, lost boy came to our shelter. Having 3 fur babies at home and not a big enough house to be able to integrate you into my own pack, I promised you the day we met, the day I fell completely in love with you, that I would make sure you had the best life possible!! Fast forward again to August 4, 2023, and it’s the first day of the rest of your wonderful life ahead!! 

From the shelter, to training @ The K9 Nation LA facility, to his amazing new life, our Johnny boy has a new name, Bulliet. He has the perfect parents, Lan and Lisa, and he’s the new head of security at their golf cart rental/service business in sunny Florida!! To say Bulleit hit the jackpot is a mild understatement!! His new mom and dad have also hit the jackpot with the perfect boy! May you all have many long and happy years with each other riding around in golf carts and catching sunsets on the bay!

while each one of our shelter dogs and cats are special in their own way, this story holds a special place in my heart. Every animal in a shelter deserves a loving home and human. We domesticated them for work and pleasure, we need to take care of them just like they have taken care of us for so many years!
